The West Orange High School School FAFSA Workshop will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the WOHS LMC.
(DOORS WILL CLOSE AT 7:30PM DUE TO THE LENGTH OF THE APPLICATION PROCESS.)
Please know that completing the FAFSA application is a graduation requirement for seniors graduating in June 2026.
If you need help with completing the FAFSA application, we strongly encourage you to join us at 6pm in the LMC at WOHS.
It is of great importance that you and your senior student participate in this workshop as you prepare for college deadlines.
To ensure that you are properly prepared for this upcoming workshop, please see the information below.
Preparation for your FAFSA Workshop 2026-27, please have the following prior to the workshop:
- FSA ID account and Password (for the student and all parental information contributors). Click here to learn how to obtain an FSA ID and Password for those that may not know.
- Copy of all 2024 Federal Income Tax Returns with schedules and W-2 forms for student (if applicable) and parent(s).
- Social Security or Individual Tax Identification numbers for parent and social security number for the student. If the student is not a U.S. Citizen, Alien Registration number or documentation as U.S. Permanent Resident. (if the student is not a citizen or eligible non-citizen, they should not complete the FAFSA and should refer to the NJ Dreamer application.
- Records of balances in checking and savings – for student and parent(s).
- Marital Status of parent(s) and date of marital status (for example, the date of marriage).
- Student Driver’s License # (if applicable).
At least three days prior to a FAFSA event, please create your User ID and Password by going to https://studentaid.gov/fsa-
id/create-account/launch . Please be advised that there may be a verification process. The students will use their login to access the FAFSA at www.studentaid.gov; the parent(s) will use their ID sign the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid including State Aid).
