Thomas A. Edison Middle School Welcome
Greetings Incoming Families:
In just a few short weeks, your child will be entering Edison Central Six Middle School. Our staff is eagerly awaiting their arrival and we look forward to a great year. In order to assist you and your child with the transition, we are holding parent/student orientations. The orientations are not mandatory as we understand families may still be on vacation.
The agenda will include an explanation of how the school year will look as we continue to address any COVID 19 protocols, the first day of school procedures, a description of various extracurricular offerings and students will be able to practice opening lockers. Additionally, parents and students will be able to meet our School Counselors, take a building tour, and participate in a scavenger hunt. Because of social distancing protocols we ask that only 1 parent/guardian attend with each student. Additionally all visitors are asked to wear a mask while in the building. While touring the building we ask that visitors maintain 3 feet of distance wherever possible.
Students whose last names begin with the letters A through K are invited to visit on August 26th. Students whose last names begin with the letters L through Z are invited to visit on August 31st. The orientations will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the school auditorium. If you cannot attend the orientation that is outlined above, please select which orientation fits your schedule. Please contact the main office with any questions. (973) 669-5360.
