The Institute for the Humanities at WOHS is a special honors program designed to provide a rigorous academic experience for a select cohort of students. IH is interdisciplinary and thematic, integrating the English and Social Studies honors level curricula. Challenging and engaging coursework is enhanced through humanities-based field trip experiences. With a focus on preparing for post-secondary academic work, students hone skills related to the humanities, such as critical thinking, reading, and writing.
IH is focused on the belief that philosophy, literature, religion, art, music, history and language are essential to recording and understanding our world.
