    UPDATE - As of August 1, 2018, ID is required for all transcript request.
     
     
    Former Student Transcript Requests
     
    Effective November 15, 1974, Federal and State Law prohibits the release of pupil records without parent or adult student written authorization. The school cannot release records without this written permission. (Ref. New Jersey Administrative Code #6"3-6.1 et seq.) states, "Organizations, agencies and persons from outside the school shall have access to pupil records if they have written consent of parent or adult pupil (Age 18)."
     
    In order for West Orange High School to send out a high school transcript, a Graduated Student Transcript Request Form must be completed with a signature and returned to us with a stamped envelope addressed to the school, business or organization requesting the transcript.
    Please do not put a return address on the envelope. Please send your completed Transcript Release Form to:

    If you are submitting your transcript request via email, the following information must be included. (See below)
     
    1. Full Name (as it appeared in WOHS)
    2. Year of Graduation
    3. The reason for the requested document
    4. Name and Address of Organization
    5. PHOTO ID (Attached)
     
    Photo ID is required for all transcript requests. 
     
    Please attach a copy of your Photo ID along with your Transcript Request upon submission. Transcript Request will not be processed without proper identification.
     
    All transcripts will be emailed directly to the recipient (school, organization, business or employer) requesting the transcript. Please allow up to 10 business days to process the request.
     
     
     
    In Person:
     
    Graduated Student Transcript Request Forms are available in the West Orange High School School Counseling Department Office. One form must be filled out per request.
    *Photo ID is required for all high school transcript requests.
     
    All transcripts will be mailed directly to the recipient (school, organization, business or employer) requesting the transcript. Please allow up to 10 business days to process the request.
     
    Immunization Record requests are handled the same as transcript requests but will be mailed directly to the student if requested.

    Current Senior Transcript Requests
     
    Please speak to your respective School Counselor about any transcript requests. For scholarship and incidental transcript requests, please submit a Transcript Request via Naviance only!! Your School Counselor will process your request upon receipt.
     
    All transcripts for college applications will be handled separately according to the college application processing guidelines. A Transcript Request is required for all college applications via Naviance. Your transcript and supporting application documents will not be sent until the School Counselor has received your Transcript Requests in Naviance.
     
    For Mid-Year Grade Requests - All request must be submitted via Naviance. 
    PLEASE BE ADVISED - YOUR REQUEST MUST BE SUBMITTED AT LEAST TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE END OF THE 2nd MARKING PERIOD.
     
    The college that you will be attending must receive a final transcript from West Orange High School. To ensure your transcript is being sent to the correct institution, please be sure to:
     
    1. Be sure to update your Naviance account with the name of the college you will be attending
    2. If you are undecided and need final transcripts sent to more than one college, please advise your School Counselor and Mrs. Gonzalez before the end of the school year
    3. All final transcripts will be sent as soon as final grades are posted
    4. If you do not provide Mrs. Gonzalez with the name of the college you will be attending prior to the last day of school, your final transcript will not be sent 
    If your plans change during the summer and you need additional transcripts sent, please contact the School Counseling Department at (973) 669-5301, ext. 31600.
     
     
    Grades 9-11 Transcript Requests
     
    Current non-senior students needing transcripts for summer programs or scholarships must request a transcript via Naviance.  Official transcripts will be mailed directly to the program or scholarship. Should the student need to include the transcript with other materials, he/she must bring all completed materials in a stamped, addressed envelope to the School Counselor. The School Counselor will put the transcript in the packet, seal it and place it in the WOHS outgoing mail.
     
    **PLEASE BE ADVISED - THERE IS A 15 DAY TURNAROUND TIME FOR THE PROCESSING OF ALL TRANSCRIPT AND SCHOLARSHIP REQUEST.
