West Orange High School has partnered with Rutgers School of Health Professions to provide students with the opportunity to earn college credits while taking courses at WOHS. The Health Science Careers program, developed using Rutgers curricula and materials, serves as a solid foundation for all students interested in pursuing studies leading to a health-related career. It is the expectation of West Orange High School that all students enrolled in the Health Science Careers program will take the qualifying exam to earn college credits through Rutgers.
In previous years, students taking these courses have shown interest in pursuing careers in medicine (doctor/nurse), forensic pathology, psychiatry, physician assistants, medical technicians, and many other health-related professions.
