Grades 6-8 Business Education program: Students at Edison Central Six take Computer Applications, Personal Finance, and Coding during their Business Education cycle. Students in grade 7 at both Liberty and Roosevelt Middle Schools take Computer Applications and Coding Part 2 which provides them with more in-depth Coding projects, Personal Finance and Entrepreneurship. Students in grade 8 focus on Personal Finance during a part of advisory with the Business Education instructors.
Grades 9-12
The WOHS Business Education Department provides students with 21st century skills needed to be successful in a global market place. All of our courses prepare students by providing project-based learning experiences in which we infuse the use of industry-standard software applications in state-of–the-art facilities. Most of our courses are part of a sequence of courses recognized by the state as approved Career and Technical Education programs. As such, West Orange High School works closely with university and business partners to ensure our students are receiving the most current information for their particular field of interest. Several courses provide students with the opportunity to take industry-recognized certification exams which ensure the high-quality of our courses. Students taking any of our Business Education courses will be prepared for success in future endeavors.
