Welcome to ART at Liberty Middle School

Hello!

My name is Lisette Villalobos and I am one of the art teachers at Liberty Middle School. I graduated from Montclair University with a BFA in Art Education and a minor in Psychology. I have an MA in Liberal Arts with a concentration in bookmaking. I've been teaching in the district for over 20 years. I love my job and I enjoy teaching my students how to translate their imaginative ideas into expressive works of art.

Students who choose art will have art all year! In art class, students will learn about the elements of art and the principles of design while discovering and refining their artistic persona. Students will explore different art materials and art techniques, fostering both their creativity and artistic understanding.

I look forward to working with my students and watching them develop as an artist.  I like to tell all my students: "Effort creates ability. The more time and effort you put into each assignment, the better your artwork will become." Thank you for the opportunity to be part of your child’s artistic journey.
