I was born in Nairobi, Kenya and moved to New Jersey when I was a teenager, where I attended Morris Hills High School. Soon after graduating from Caldwell College, I decided that I preferred teaching over the corporate world, so I went to Teachers College at Columbia University.

I have been teaching at Liberty Middle School since 2007. I used to teach as an adjunct at Caldwell University. Outside of teaching, I enjoy tutoring, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my family. And as all of my students quickly discover, I love elephants!
