West Orange High School Juniors to Attend RYLA University

WEST ORANGE, NJ - West Orange High School juniors Rhianna Giuliano and Ben Coleman have received Rotary Youth Leadership Awards and will attend RYLA University, to be held at Caldwell University from June 26-29. 2025.

RYLA is a Rotary International program that provides an intensive leadership experience while having fun and making connections with fellow students, community leaders, inspirational speakers, and peer mentors. The program is managed by Rotary Districts 7475 and 7490, in cooperation with the Rotoract Club of Leadership and Service, who lead RYLA University, and combines classroom and physical activities designed to develop team building and reliance upon others.

Rhianna and Ben were selected by the West Orange Rotary for their excellence in character and scholarship and have demonstrated a desire for leadership. 12 counties in northern New Jersey, approximately 120 students, will represent this year's RYLA University.

West Orange Rotarian Jerry Tarnoff, retired West Orange Superintendent of Schools and former West Orange High School Principal, greeted Rhianna and Ben and congratulated them on their acceptance to RYLA University.
