Maggie Stone 11.17.2024
The West Orange Public School District has once again demonstrated excellence in school communications, earning an Award of Merit in the Video category from the New Jersey School Public Relations Association (NJSPRA). This prestigious recognition was awarded for the district’s mic’d up video capturing heartfelt moments from the Class of 2024 graduation ceremony, featuring Superintendent Hayden Moore and Principal Oscar Guerrero. The video highlighted their genuine and celebratory interactions with graduates as they proudly crossed the stage.
The NJSPRA School Communication Awards spotlight professional school communicators in New Jersey who go above and beyond to engage their stakeholders through innovative and effective messaging. The 2024 contest marked one of the most competitive years to date, with 100 submissions from 45 school districts evaluated by an esteemed panel of 14 judges from ten states. Judges included award-winning school communications professionals and professors from Rowan University.
This recognition underscores the district’s commitment to showcasing the pride and spirit of its community through authentic storytelling. Congratulations to all involved in this remarkable achievement!
