WEST ORANGE. NJ - Connie Salimbeno was appointed as the Executive Director of Student Support Services at the May 6 Board of Education meeting.
Salimbeno began work in the West Orange School District in 2004 as a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant and was named Supervisor of Special Services for Grades Pre-K - 8 from 2009 to 2011. After the passing of Betty Maddalena, Salimbeno was named the Director of Student Support Services in 2011. She served in that position until 2016, when the Betty Maddalena Early Learning Center for preschool students opened, and Salimbeno assumed preschool oversight.
I am honored to be appointed the Executive Director of Student Support Services and begin the next part of my journey in the West Orange School District," said Salimbeno.
