WEST ORANGE, NJ - The West Orange High School Wind Ensemble performed at the annual NJ State Band Gala, held April 28 at the College of New Jersey.

Bands are selected to perform based on the outstanding quality of their musicianship, sound, and precision. The Wind Ensemble recently received a Gold rating at the North Jersey School Music Association/Region I Band Festival, held at Hanover Park Regional High School on March 19, and qualified for their appearance at TCNJ.

Under the direction of Music Director Lewis Kelly, the Wind Ensemble performed "Cry of the Last Unicorn" by Rossano Galante and "Greek Folk Song Suite: 'O Charalambis,' 'Stu Psiloriti,' and 'Vasilikos tha jino' by Franco Cesarini. Erin Lagatic and Josh Zimmer also serve as musical directors at West Orange High School.
