Redwood Elementary Students Present Black History Month Wax Museum

WEST ORANGE, NJ - Barack Obama, Colin Powell. Oprah Winfrey. Beyonce. George Washington Carver. Jackie Robinson. LeBron James. Harriet Tubman. Madame CJ Walker, and many more celebrated Black history makers were onsite at Redwood Elementary School on Feb. 23 as the Third Grade team presented its Black History Month Wax Museum. Students dressed in costume, designed displays, and prepared scripts to share with parents, teachers, and fellow students as they walked by and pressed the red "start" button at each station, bringing the wax figures to life.

The knowledge that each student shared was impressive, and there was a lot to learn about the celebrities, authors, activists, athletes, scientific, and political Black Americans that shaped history.
