West Orange High School Artists Visit GlassRoots

WEST ORANGE, NJ - It was the perfect day for some talented art students at West Orange High School to visit GlassRoots in Newark, a non-profit arts organization that teaches young and old alike the finer points of glass-blowing incorporating creative and scientific methodology.

Organized by WOHS Art teacher Nicole Krulik  and Jennifer Morante, GlassRoots Field Trips are "hands-on learning experiences in glass-art making which align with the New Jersey State Learning Standards in Visual and Performing Arts and Science, for students in grades 3 through 12. Students create while learning art, science and technology, history and culture."

The Feb. 8 field trip was not only an enjoyable learning experience for the students, but for the teachers as well.

"I might have just stumbled upon my future retirement career! Had an absolutely delightful time today at GlassRoots in Newark with some amazing art students," said Krulik.
