West Orange Music Faculty Entertains at Annual Scholarship Concert
WEST ORANGE, NJ - The annual Music Faculty Scholarship Concert was held on Feb. 7 at Liberty Middle School, reminding the community of the incredible talent that works each day with students in K-12.
Fine Arts Supervisor Lou Quagliato welcomed the community to the concert, which has been held for over 20 years.
"It is no surprise that our music students continue to receive numerous awards and accolades when you see how gifted our talented music faculty is," said Superintendent Hayden Moore.
From show tunes, to classical, to jazz, the faculty provided an evening of top-notch entertainment, with all donations going towards scholarships for graduating West Orange High School students planning to major in music in college.
Grammy-nominated musician Carl Brister joined the band for "Let's Stay Together," and other special appearances and solos dotted the evening.
"We have a music faculty that is second to none," added Moore, "and we are so grateful to have them share their talents with our students and community."
