West Orange Students Take the Stage at Paper Mill Playhouse for 2022 Summer Musical Theater Conservatory “New Voices” Performance
West Orange, NJ (July 28, 2022) – For the first time since the Summer of 2019, aspiring young performers from the tri-state area will once again be in the spotlight, on stage, at the prestigious Paper Mill Playhouse for the 2022 New Voices performance: A Whole New World: A Tribute to Alan Menken.
West Orange High School Senior Riley Hahn and Roosevelt Middle School 8th grader Kyan Bashkoff are two of 90+ students selected to return for another session at the highly-competitive conservatory. For four of the five-week program, students experienced a series of resourceful singing, acting, auditioning, and dance classes as well as a series of workshops led by professional actors, directors, and casting agents at Montclair State University.
For Riley and Kyan, participating in the Summer conservatory puts them on the same stage as notable alumni including Academy Award & Golden Globe winner Anne Hathaway (Rachel Getting Married, Les Misérables), Tony Award winners Laura Benanti (Gypsy), and Nikki M. James (The Book of Mormon), Tony nominee Rob McClure (Chaplin), and many more.
The memorable summer experience culminates this weekend, July 29-30, 2022 with the 2022 New Voices performance: A Whole New World: A Tribute to Alan Menken. In-person and live stream tickets are available by clicking here. All are welcome to join in celebrating the talent, creativity, and perseverance of this Company!
