West Orange High School Girls Track and Field Standouts Earn All-American Status at Nationals

WEST ORANGE, NJ - The West Orange High School Girls Cross Country Track and Field Team finished the season with strong showings at the Nike Nationals  in Eugene, Oregon, and the New Balance Nationals  in Philadelphia, both held June 16-19.

At the Nike Nationals, WOHS senior Olivia Prescott took third place in the Emerging Elite Shot Put and 12th in the Championship Discus Division.

At the New Balance Nationals, freshman Taylor Aska placed fifth in the Freshman 100m Dash and Nadya Coleman, Attiyas Simmons, Kourtney Adams, and Nicole Oshodi took third place in the Rising Stars 4x100 Relay Championship.

Head Coach Jason Lamont Jackson explained, "There are three Divisions of competition: Freshman, Emerging Elite/Rising Stars, and Championship. Athletes placing in the Top 6 are considered All-Americans in that Division."
