West Orange High School Sports Publishes Important Guidelines for Game Attendance
WEST ORANGE, NJ – In keeping with state and NJSIAA guidelines, the West Orange High School Athletic Department, helmed by Athletic Director Ron Bligh, has published the following information regarding attendance at football games.
Only 500 spectators will be allowed at the three scheduled home games at Suriano Stadium. The following Booster Club leaders have been given a specified number of Season Passes, priced at $15.00, to allow entrance into the three games. NJSIAA scheduled games are not included.

Individual Game Tickets, if available - $5.00 for Adults, $3.00 for students and Senior Citizens. Only the Main Gate by the “Rock” will be open for admittance to Suriano Field.
“As we enter week three of virtual learning and officially begin our outdoor Fall sports season later this week, I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone how important it is to be leaders both on and off the field,” began WOHS Principal Hayden Moore.
“To ensure the safety of everyone in attendance including our players, coaches, staff, and spectators, we are requiring (read: NOT OPTIONAL) everyone to be smart and safe in order to support at all events,” he continued.
Masks must be worn at all times; keep your distance in the bleachers; absolutely no loitering on campus.
“With the assistance of our security staff and the West Orange Police Department, anyone found to be violating these guidelines will be asked to leave and/or removed from campus so everyone else can enjoy the event safely,” he added.
“Let's continue to show our community and the world how we do it here in West Orange. Have fun, stay safe, be smart, and show good sportsmanship,” he concluded.
The Mountaineers’ opening game is Friday, Oct. 2 vs. St. Peter’s Prep beginning at 7:00 pm. Check the WOHS Football and all varsity games here.
(Note: for Girls and Boys Soccer, Girls Tennis, and Cross-Country, a 25 per cent crowd capacity is allowed. The same safety protocols outlined for football apply to all varsity sports.
