West Orange High School Counselor Recognized by NJSCA

WEST ORANGE, NJ - West Orange High School Director of Student Personnel Services and School Counseling Cheryl Butler has been recognized by the New Jersey School Counselor Association (NJSCA) as a 2020 High School Scholarship Nominee.

 

Butler received the recognition following nomination by WOHS senior Darlene Folas for recognizing the important role of their school counselor. Folas also received a $1,000 scholarship.

 

 

The New Jersey School Counselor Association is the organization that represents professional school counseling in New Jersey. Their mission is "to promote excellence in the school counseling profession and to advocate for the development of all students," and their vision is "that all professional school counselors in New Jersey will develop and implement a comprehensive school counseling program based on the National Standards for School Counseling Programs."
