ABOUT THE WEST ORANGE SCHOLARSHIP FUND (WOSF)

  • Established in 1923 by a group of dedicated West Orange citizens, the West Orange Scholarship Fund was founded with the purpose of providing financial assistance to deserving graduates in the West Orange community who might otherwise be unable to pursue their education. Today, the organization remains committed to this mission, having never missed a year of awarding aid to deserving students, even during times of economic uncertainty. The Fund receives income from three primary sources: its permanent endowment, generous contributions from the community during the Trustees Annual Appeal, and funds raised by the West Orange Council of PTAs. Since its inception, the Fund has awarded over $1.8 million in cumulative scholarships to outstanding students. The organization is a qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit.(tax ID #22-6033022).
