Back To School Night 2025!!!!

September 17, 2025

Doors open at 6:00 pm for parents or guardians of 6th-grade students — please report to the auditorium! 

Doors open at  6:35 pm for parents or guardians of 7th and 8th graders. Please report to your Edison Knights 1st-period class.

ATTENTION ALL EDISON KNIGHT PARENTS!!!

Upon entering the school, if your child is in 7th or 8th grade, please report to your child’s 1st period class and bring the information below with you:

A copy of your child’s “special” Back to School Night schedule will be sent home on Monday, September 15th.  

Please note:  Advisory, Math Lab, or any class labeled “Workshop” will not meet during Back to School Night.  Please report to the Auditorium for that class, which is combined with the lunch period.

Please be advised – this event is for parents & guardians only. 

Parents/guardians may park at the Ginny Dunkel Pool parking lot and Washington Elementary School. 

Special schedules will be sent home on Monday, September 15, 2025

Welcome to Thomas A. Edison School!

 We are one of the middle schools in West Orange, New Jersey.

Every unit covered will immerse children in a real-life situation, helping to make what they are learning about applicable and allowing them to see why they need to know about it.

If you are new to the area and would like to schedule a tour of our school, please get in touch with Dr. Keri Orange-Jones, our school's Vice Principal, to arrange a time.
