"You are so very worthy of love, just by nature of being you. So keep being you- wonderfully awkward, brave, and kind, you!"
The jump to middle school can feel quite challenging; you could be feeling anxious, excited, or some mix of those and any other feelings that might be popping up right now, Take a breath- I am here to help in any way that I can!
In class we will explore United States history from its colonial foundations through Reconstruction. We will be working together this year to develop our skills as great historians, readers, writers, thinkers, and change agents. This means reading or analyzing a source carefully, questioning what we know or think we know about the world around us, and finding ways to make it a radically more equitable, just, and joyful place!
Students are most successful in class when they check google classroom and powerschool regularly, advocate through professional emails, and find the courage to use their voice through writing and vocally participating in class. From our Constitutional Conventions to debates in discourse- get ready to do your best to be your best!
