    Mrs. Leokumovich

I am so thrilled to be your child’s second-grade teacher at Washington School!  I have been teaching since 2009 and look forward to all we are going to learn this year. This year the students will be busy learning through hands-on activities, discovery lessons, and tasks and projects that are all based on our curriculum. We will be reading so many entertaining and exhilarating books, sharing and writing stories, monthly book reports, and overall becoming better readers and writers! We will also be busy working on more challenging math, social studies, and science concepts, playing engaging games, and sharing ideas! In second grade, there will be homework and reading every night and being responsible is a huge part of learning this year. Homework planners should be returned to school every day!

Stay tuned for monthly newsletters that will keep you updated with new information and concepts that we have learned over the course of the month.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns:

We will also be using our homework planners to stay organized so you can always leave a note for me there!

I look forward to working with you and your child this year! I am so excited to be your teacher and for all of our families to be part of this awesome all star class that we have lined up for this year. This is sure to be a ROCKSTAR year!
