K-5 Basic Skills Teacher
My name is Alba Oakley and I am a Basic Skills teacher here at Washington School. Below you can find some information about my position as a Basic Skills teacher. I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at Montclair State University. Later on, I graduated from Caldwell College with a Masters of Arts in Special Education. I am super EXCITED to begin working with my students at Washington School for the 2018-2019 school year.
About the Basic Skills Program:
Reinforce Content- Reinforce content topics covered in the classes that may have been challenging for students
Improve and Develop Each Student's Individual Skills
- Analyze test results to determine where each student needs to improve and develop specific skills
In- Class Support/Small Group BSI
- Attend classes & collaborate with teachers on improving individual student skills
- Instruct students weekly in a small-group setting to develop the skills they need most
