• Chorus classes have TWO concert performances each school year, a Winter concert & a Spring Concert.  Please see below for all details regarding this year's concert dates, times, attire, and more!  Feel free to contact Ms. Tammone at any time with questions. There will also be email & printed reminders sent to you throughout the school year.

    Spring Choral Concert

    Thursday, May 22nd, 2025

    Location: Liberty Middle School Auditorium

    Concert Start Time: 6:30PM**

    **Students must arrive at 5:45PM for attendance, warm-up, and attire check.

    Attire:  "Broadway Black" - Black top & black bottom or black skirt/dress (knee length or longer), black or dark shoes/flats with color accent accessories (optional & color will be voted on by the students one month prior to performance). Please no t-shirts with writing/logos, tank tops/spaghetti straps, or ripped jeans.  Colored accessory accents may include scarves, jewelry, ties/bowties, shoes/sneakers, vests, etc.  Please no colored shirts.

     

    If for any reason, a student is unable to attend the concert, themselves and/or their parent must email Ms.Tammone (atammone@westorangeschools.org) to notify her of the absence as soon as possible AND complete the Concert Make-Up Assignment to supplement the Concert Performance Grade by the end of the marking period.

    The Concert Make-Up Assignment allows the student to choose one of 3 options to complete to supplement missing the performance:

    Option #1: Schedule a time to sing through all 4 of our concert pieces LIVE at school. This could be during your advisory, class time or beginning/end of the day, but MUST be scheduled at least 1 day in advance with Ms. Tammone.

    Option #2: Submit video recordings of you singing through all 4 of our concert pieces with the performance track (song recording with voices found on Google Classroom). Please send 4 separate videos (one for each piece). 

    Option #3: Watch the Concert performance recording posted on Google Classroom & four videos of other choirs performing the same pieces (YouTube video links to use are provided), & write a Compare and Contrast Essay that compares our performance to those of other schools/choirs.  Write at least 2 ways the performances were similar and 2 ways the performances were different for each song, as well as an introduction and conclusion paragraph.[6 PARAGRAPHS TOTAL]
