Welcome to Ms. Born's Art Classroom Page!

After a successful career as an illustrator of children’s books, I turned my full attention to earning a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching / Art Education for grades Pre-K through 12. I studied at Montclair State University and graduated Summa Cum Laude. My Art Teacher experiences include working at Millburn High School, Red Bank Middle School, East Newark School and Henry Snyder High School in Jersey City. After completing my Master of Elementary Education at Antioch University I taught grades three, four and five at an arts-infused private school in Princeton, NJ. I chose Art Education as my profession because I thoroughly enjoy the challenges and successes of working with students in my area of expertise - ART. I am thrilled to work with the outstanding staff and administration at Edison Central Six. I appreciate meeting every student (and many parents) at Edison because it gives me the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally.
