Welcome to math!  This is  my 11th year teaching  8th grade math at Roosevelt.  I am  truly happy to be here because this school really is a wonderful place to be.  I've known I've wanted to be a math teacher since I was in high school, and I've found 8th grade to be very rewarding.  I went to Syracuse University where I majored in mathematics and secondary education.  At Syracuse I was also highly into music.  I played the oboe in the concert band and symphony band, played the alto saxophone in the basketball band called the "Sour Sitrus Society", and was a member of the Syracuse Marching Band where I played the bass drum.  Needless to say I'm a huge Syracuse fan!  I then went on to get my masters in mathematics education from the University of Phoenix.  I was born in Staten Island and raised in New Jersey so I'm a huge fan of the Jersey Shore and of the New York Jets!
