WEST ORANGE, NJ - West Orange Public Schools and students showed up in force to represent their community at the 66th Annual West Orange St. Patrick's Day Parade.
Making their final appearances, seniors in the National and State Champion Marching Mountaineers and State and Regional Champions WOHS Cheerleaders enthusiastically marched along the specially painted green stripe on Main Street. The West Orange High School Jr. AFROTC also marched in formation to the cheers of the crowd, despite the frigid 27-degree temperature.
In addition to the high school, students across the school district marched with West Orange PAL, Mountain Top League, and several Brownie, Girl Scout, Cub Scout and Boy Scout troops.
Superintendent Jeff Rutzky, Board President Sandra Mordecai, and board members Laura Lab and Mark Roberston proudly led the high school marchers along the parade route along with Principal Hayden Moore, who brought his children along.
All in all, Irish Eyes were smiling on the students who represented their schools and organizations well.
