Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Jacqueline Cruz

I am entering my 4th year of teaching at West Orange High School. I graduated from William Paterson University (Class of 2014!) with my B.S. in Health & Physical Education Degree, along with Driver Education Certification. I am currently teaching the 9th, 10 grade levels. Along with being a Physical Educator, I also coach 3 sports at the high school level. I am the Head Volleyball Coach and Assistant Coach for both Girls Basketball and Softball.

Philosophy of Teaching: As an educator, my philosophy is to make sure all students are maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle by participating and adapting through different physical activities and health aspects.  At the end of every marking period, students will have a sense of accomplish in something that they had no previous knowledge to or be able to complete a task that was hard to do before. Finding the inner strength and energy to do something will help them become confident so that they can be successful in ANYTHING! I believe if you try your very best and hardest, you will be able to do what you can and more. Mind over matter! I hope to improve my students' competency, responsibility, and fitness levels for the present, and most importantly their future.
