Welcome to Fourth Grade!

My name is Jessica Viavattine. I have been a fourth grade teacher at Washington School for three years and with the district since 2011. Before coming to West Orange I taught second grade in Florida where I received my master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida. 

My goal is to create an educational environment that promotes a genuine interest in learning and personal achievement. I strive to design stimulating lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles.

I hope to inspire my students to be well rounded, responsible, and successful individuals. In order for this to happen I believe that parents need to participate in the learning process. Please make sure that students are reading each night and remember that homework is an important component of your child’s educational achievement. All assignments will be posted online by 4:00pm and will also be in your child’s agenda.
