Mt. Pleasant Elementary School Holds Seventh Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

WEST ORANGE, NJ - Mt. Pleasant Elementary School held its seventh annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service on Jan. 12, giving students in grades K-5 to mix-it-up, collaborate, work on different projects, and celebrate the many different cultures in the school.

Students spent the day in their mix-it-up classes (comprised of students from each grade), with fifth grade students leading activities about service and Dr. King's legacy in the morning. In the afternoon, members of the parent community came in to facilitate cultural presentations.
