Welcome to Mrs. De Blieck's class website. 

My name is Michele De Blieck and I am so proud to be an Elementary Teacher at Mt. Pleasant School.  Primary Education has always been my passion.   I have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Special Education. I hold a Supervision Certificate, and I am also a Clinical Faculty member at Montclair University. I am very happy to be teaching second grade this year. Second grade is an exciting year. Your child will become more independent and take on new responsibilities. Second graders begin to do research, answer more open-ended questions, and solve problems. The students will become more fluent readers, learn new strategies to derive meaning from what they read, and use new word identification strategies.  My goal is to have all students become confident, successful readers!
