ABOUT ME:

My name is Alisa Steiner and I am proud to be a 2nd grade teacher at Mt. Pleasant School.  I graduated from Rowan University and received my Masters Degree in Special Education from Kean University.  Teaching has always been my passion and I am very happy to be teaching 2nd grade this year.  Second grade is such an exciting year. Your child will become more independent and take on new responsibilities.  We begin to do research, answer more open-ended questions, and solve problems.  The students will become more fluent readers, learn new strategies to determine word meaning, and use new word identification strategies.  My goal is to have all students become confident and successful readers!
