My name is Mrs. Carrie Colvin and I am the Reading Specialist at St. Cloud Elementary School.  I am excited to be able to teach your children many strategies that can help them be successful readers.  My goal is to have all students feel confident so they not only learn to read, but they enjoy reading for years to come.

I started out teaching at St. Cloud in 2001 as a 5th grade teacher, and became the reading specialist in 2013. I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, and received my Master's in Reading from Montclair State University. 

I believe teachers, parents and students should work together as a team to achieve success.  The best way to improve reading is to have your child read every day. This will build vocabulary, comprehension, fluency and most important confidence.
