Back to School in West Orange: PHOTOS

WEST ORANGE, NJ - It was a busy day as over 7,000 students from Preschool through Grade 12 returned to West Orange Public Schools on Sept. 5.

Teachers and administrators greeted students and parents as a new school year began. Superintendent Hayden Moore visited several schools during the course of his day, even stopping by Kelly to see off his own son Nick, who is beginning second grade. His oldest son Hayden Jr. began eighth grade at Liberty Middle School, and daughter Mia is a junior at Rutgers.

"Welcome back to a new school year in West Orange," began Mr. Moore.

"For our new parents and students, we welcome you to our West Orange family, where you will find hardworking, thoughtful, and dedicated educators. I am excited about the 2024-2025 school year."

We collected photos from all our schools for the community to enjoy and share in the enthusiasm of the day. Photos are arranged by school and in alphabetical order, with preschool and Betty Maddalena Early Learning Center photos first. Click on the "i" to see what school is represented in the photo. Thank you to all the principals and staff members who took photos and sent them to us.
