WEST ORANGE, NJ - It was a beautiful day for a visit from the West Orange Fire Department at Betty Maddalena Early Learning Center on Northfield Avenue, as students jumped up and down in excitement to see the firefighters, truck, and try out the fire hose.

Firefighter Matt Balistrieri showed pre-schoolers the interior of the fire truck, letting them "drive" and blow the horn. Firefighter Heidi Vanderhoof answered questions from faculty and students while firefighter Frank Discosia dressed in his uniform and let students aim the hose.
