WEST ORANGE, NJ – Mt. Pleasant student Rohan Belday has qualified to compete in the “Little Mo” Nationals in Austin, Texas from Oct. 13-17, 2016. Belday is currently ranked second in the 12–Year-Old Eastern Division (NY, NJ, CT) and is one of only 16 players in his age group to qualify for the nationals.
Belday has shown great promise recently, earning a United States Tennis Association scholarship to train with USTA coaches in Queens, NY. He was one of six players selected for the prestigious scholarship from a pool of over 140 tri-state players.
In addition to the “Little Mo” Nationals, Rohan was invited to represent the Eastern region in the Capitol Clash competition in Maryland, a cross-sectional event featuring teams from the Eastern, Mid-Atlantic, Middle States and New England Sections. Belday finished in the top three for the year in the Eastern Division in the 10-and-under category and will represent the Eastern division in the USTA event Oct. 8-10.
