Hazel Elementary Holds Fifth Annual "Feel the Beat" Black History Event
WEST ORANGE, NJ - The Hazel Elementary School PTA held the school's popular annual Black History Month event, "Feel the Beat," on Feb. 22., much to the delight of parents, students, staff, and Hazel community. This is the fifth year the event has been presented.
Students in grades K-5 lit up the Hazel stage with exciting performances of music, theater, dance, and poetry. The evening was inspired by ancient black culture, The Umoja Dance group closed out the program.
Following the performances, a Soul Food dinner was served to all.
