West Orange High School Football Takes Win Over Livingston, 34-12

WEST ORANGE, NJ - West Orange High School got their third win in a row in a home game v. Livingston on Sept. 18, garnering five touchdowns and beating the Lancers 34-12.

The Mountaineers' Sydney Padilla scored in the first and fourth with passes from QB Brandon LaBlanca. David Moore scored two touchdowns from LaBlanca and Daniel Lewis. Akhir Morgan scored in the second with a pass from Lewis, and kicker Aaron Godinez completed four extra point attempts. Livingston's Abel Paul and Christian Giordano scored touchdowns in the first and fourth.

"The boys played really well," said West Orange Head Coach Darnell Grant.

"Both quarterbacks were efficient, throwing four touchdowns in the first half, two each (Brandon LaBanca #12) (Daniel Lewis #1), and the defense was phenomenal, sacking the Livingston QB’s 10 times," he added.

The Marching Mountaineers performed an extended preview of their program "Reclaimed."

West Orange currently stands 3-1 in the SFC Freedom Red Division, in second behind East Orange. The varsity takes on Barringer in an away game on Sept. 27 beginning at 1:00 pm. The next home game will be held on Oct. 10 beginning at 7:00 pm.
