St. Cloud Elementary School Holds Ribbon-Cutting for Mural Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion

WEST ORANGE, NJ — The St. Cloud Elementary School community came together on Sept. 10 for a joyful ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil a new mural that captures the heart and spirit of the school.

Commissioned by the St. Cloud PTA, the mural is a celebration of the school’s vibrant, diverse, and creative identity. Designed with a focus on inclusion and fun, the project was brought to life through the talented local artists Michael David Adams and Viktorija Bowers Adams, whose creative vision brought this project to life. With over 25 years in the creative industry, Michael and Viktorija have worked around the world in fashion and art, and now their talents have made a lasting mark right here in West Orange. Support was provided by students in the West Orange Mountaineers Mentoring Club.

More than just a piece of art, the mural also honors longtime St Cloud PTA leader Mrs. Amy Hall, whose decade-plus of service has made a lasting impact on students, families, and staff. Known for her dedication and passion, Mrs. Hall embodies the very values reflected in the mural.

“This mural is colorful, creative, and full of life — just like the students and teachers at St. Cloud,” said a PTA representative. “It’s a lasting symbol of who we are as a school,” said Kamil Lannaman, fourth grader at St Cloud.

The mural now stands as both a tribute and a testament to the unity, spirit, and heart of the St. Cloud community and the West Orange Board of Education.
