McDonald's Faces of Black History Tour Visits Roosevelt Middle School
The Faces of Black History Tour is a free performance, month-long tour consisting of a talented five-member cast that travels to local schools to teach children about the influential figures of black history through music. The McDonald's New York Tri-State Owners/Operators are the official sponsors of the 45-minute program that salutes well-known African-Americans who contributed to American history.
"The live musical show salutes many well-known celebrities, personalities, and history makers in an entertaining and educational format for all ages," stated Roosevelt Assistant Principal Marc Lawrence.
Principal Lionel Hush, BOE VP Terry Trigg-Scales, BOE President Ken Alper, Superintendent Dr. Scott Cascone, Asst. Superintendent Eveny de Mendez, members of the West Orange African Heritage Organization, performers.
