West Orange High School Wind Ensemble to Perform at Carnegie Hall

WEST ORANGE, NJ - The West Orange High School Wind Ensemble will be making their Carnegie Hall debut in the Isaac Stern Auditorium on March 14 beginning at 8:00 pm as invited performers of the 2019 New York Invitational Music Festival.

"I am very proud to be leading the West Orange High School Wind Ensemble at Carnegie Hall," began Band Leader Lew Kelly.

"Our Wind Ensemble is one of the most recognized and honored groups here at West Orange High School. It has been recognized as one of the top bands in New Jersey for over a decade. The students are so talented and dedicated...it sounds a little cliche, but performing at Carnegie Hall is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity," he said.

The Wind Ensemble will perform "Americans We" by Henry Fillmore, "October" by Eric Whitacre, and "Symphonic Dance No 3 'Fiesta' by Clifton Williams.

Carnegie Hall is located 881 Seventh Avenue in Manhattan. For directions, visit their website at  www.carnegiehall.org.
