Annual Black History Scholarship Dinner to be Held at West Orange High School Feb. 7
WEST ORANGE, NJ - The annual Black History Scholarship Dinner will be held at West Orange High School in the Tarnoff Cafeteria on Feb. 7 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. The event is open to the entire community.
This year's guest speaker is education advocate Lawrence Hamm, whose storied civil rights career spans over 48 years. Hamm has spent his life's work defending the civil rights of the Newark and the wider community.
In addition to the guest speaker, the evening will feature a celebration of heritage and culture performed by West Orange High School students, which include music, dance, and poetry.
General Admission is $20. All monies raised will be used to provide scholarships for graduating West Orange seniors. For tickets email cconnors@westorangeschools.org or go to https://wohsblackhistory2020.eventbrite.com. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.
