Liberty Helping Hands Club Bakes Cookies for West Orange Fire, Police Departments

WEST ORANGE, NJ - The Helping Hands Club at Liberty Middle School presented trays of homemade cookies recently to members of the West Orange Police Department and West Orange Fire Department to say “thank you” for their service. In light of recent school tragedies, students at Liberty feel safe and protected having these officers present at a moment’s notice.

The Helping Hands Club is a civic-based program run by advisor Dianne Cardinali, a teacher at Liberty. The main function of this club is to give back to the Community by providing assistance and services to those in need, whether it be people or animals.  Currently the club has over 50 members comprised of seventh and eighth grade students.
