Liberty Middle School to Present "Beauty and the Beast Jr." May 2-4

WEST ORANGE, NJ - Liberty Middle School will present its annual spring musical, "Beauty and the Beast Jr.," in performances beginning at 7:00 pm on May 2 and 3 and at 1:00 on May 4. The school is located at 1 Kelly Drive.

In addition to the regular performances, there will be a special FREE Senior Citizens performance on May 1 beginning at 9:00 am.

A tale as old as time, "Beauty and the Beast" tells the story of strong, independent Belle, who loves to read and has no interest in the town's most eligible bachelor, the boorish Gaston. When Belle's father stumbles onto the enchanted property of The Beast, Belle races to rescue him and winds up staying there so that her father will be released.

When Belle discovers the secret of the castle - that the Beast and all the animated household items have fallen under the curse of a witch, she begins to warm to the Beast and his gruff ways. But Gaston has other plans for the Beast, and they don't include Belle.

With hits songs like "Be Our Guest," and the title theme song, the show is sure to keep audiences engaged throughout. This play is acceptable for all ages.

Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for Senior Citizens and students. Purchase advance tickets here. All tickets at the door are $12.00.
