Allergy Awareness Committee

The West Orange School District is in the process of establishing an Allergy Awareness Committee to develop a comprehensive framework addresses life-threatening allergies that impact students.

We are seeking volunteers to serve as committee members and assist in targeting the following objectives:

  • To establish a policy that includes medical management, risk reduction, communication and implementation, and definitions.

  • To develop district procedures to address the needs of students with life-threatening allergies.

  • To outline a plan to educate district staff about the policy and protocols for addressing students with life-threatening allergies.

Upon establishing the committee, a calendar of meeting dates/times for the remainder of this school year will be shared with all committee members.
