This is Ms. Yu (or Yú lǎo shī). Thank you for visiting my page! I am currently teaching 7th and 8th grade Chinese at Liberty Middle School and Roosevelt Middle School. I look forward to an exciting year in Chinese and getting to know my students. Through meaningful activities in the Chinese language and culture, I strive to help my students overcome their initial fear of learning Chinese, broaden their perspective of the world, and acquire proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, typing, and writing in Chinese. In my Chinese class, you will also find various technology and media being implemented in the lessons, such as Google Apps, ClassDojo, Quizlet, Flipgrid, etc. The moment you step into my Chinese class, you will find out that Chinese is not so hard to learn and before you realize it, you will have immersed yourself in the language and culture!

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy hiking, traveling, and making a good cup of coffee!
